Today was a day of calmness and serenity starting with Nicole’s amazing workshop.

Everyone got to connect with themselves and each other using only physical touch and trust as tools. 

We got separated in many different pairs and every person used their bodies, their eyes and their gestures to guide their partner and finally create statues that represented a variety of situations and feelings.

In the second part of the morning we were divided in four different groups and we had to create different scenes choosing one of the proposed themes.

Each group showcased their own interpretation of their theme of choice.

The first two groups chose the theme “The transformative power of magic”, while the other two chose “Conflict between inner feelings and social/political dynamics”.

After some food and rest, we met at the library where we found printed photos of ourselves posing as statues from the first workshop. Then we transformed the photos into a “peace” of art with different techniques and materials.

 
 As a final activity, we had three minutes to do “free writing” based on words the rest of the group gave as feedback for our work.
